The Water Cycle is also called
The Hydrologic Cycle.
It is the journey water takes as it travels from the land to the sky and back again.

The Water Cycle is made up of these steps:

1. Evaporation

2. Condensation

3. Precipitation

4. Collection

Here's a simple look at the Water Cycle:

When water vapor rises, that's called EVAPORATION.

When rain (or snow) falls from the clouds, that's called PRECIPITATION.

The water that enters the ground when we water our garden is called COLLECTION. Plants and trees also drink this water when they get thirsty.

The extra water that goes into the sea is called RUN-OFF.
