Midwest
The Midwest region, sometimes split into the Heartland and Midwest, includes the states North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio.
Physical Traits
Part of this region is known as the "heartland" or "breadbasket" because of its fertile plains for farming. The famous Great Lakes are also in this region.
Climate
The weather in the Midwest is extreme, with cold, dry winters and humid, hot summers
