The Mountain region, sometimes split into the Pacific Coast and Mountain region, includes the states Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, and Colorado.

The Mountain region is famous for the Rocky Mountains and Great Salt Lakes in Utah. There are mountains, valleys, forests, deserts, volcanoes, and prairies in this region.
Climate
The weather in the north of this region is wet and cold in the winters and warm and dry in the summers. The weather in the south is generally warm. There is a lot of snow in the mountains.
