Physical Traits

These states are noncontiguous because they are separated from the rest of the country by water or other countries. Alaska is known for still using dogsleds, while Hawaii is known for being a chain of volcanic islands.

Climate

Alaska's climate is moderately warm in the summers but cold, dark, and very snowy in the winters. Hawaii is warm all year and generally has little rainfall.
