WHAT DO I DO?
There is so much you can do and find in this site so make sure you read all the direction given to you!
~Take a glance at all the pages on this site by clicking each of their links. Before you get started on any activity, make sure you understand how to get to each new page.
~Begin section by section and click on links that will first help you review your math skills and introduce new fun skills for you to use.
~Once you feel like you are comfortable with your skill level, you can go on and play all of the fun games and the review practices that will help you become a math whiz!
~After you have explored all of the possible locations, go back to the money section and review a little more. Then, you are going to make a poster using what you have learned about dollars and cents. On this poster, I want you to draw out 5 different combinations of dollars and coins that add up to $5.00. You can use pennies, nickles, dimes, quarters, and dollars and you can use as many as needed! Make sure you show for each combination of coins that you make, how you did it by showing all of your math work. Have fun with this project, who knows, next time you go shopping with an adult, you may be able to sort out the money they need to use to pay for their purchase! Suprise everyone by how much you know!
~Next, you are going to make a number link! We will cut up many small pieces of paper and on each one, you will write a number. The number pattern you make will be based on what you have learned and mastered while working with all the sections in this site. They may be addition or subtraction patterns, odd and even patterns, dates from the calendar, or anything else you have worked on. Continue the pattern all the way to 100, you can do it! Then, we will connect all our links with glue and you will have your very own number link that you can bring home and show all of your friends and family...They will be so impressed by how much math you know!
