It is important to consider how people might be able to reduce their production of acid rain. Many factories are burning coal that produces less sulfur dioxide in addition to using technology to limit emissions of sulfur dioxide and other gasses.
At home, you might be able to try limiting your use of fossil fuels. You could try lowering your heat and wearing warmer clothes. Or, try using weather-stripping on your windows to stop drafts and keep your home warm. Carpooling, riding a bike, or using public transportation is an excellent way to reduce the amount of fossil fuels you burn and the amount of dangerous gasses you produce.
